Dylan Tendler is a 2008 left hand hitting middle infielder from Laguna Hills HS, residing in Laguna Hills, CA. He has a 5'11" 150 lb. frame and a lean, athletic, lithe body type that is physically projectable. Tendler was interesting to watch over the course of two days. He has a bright future that will become more apparent as he continues to physically mature. For one, Tendler really looks like he is going to hit. He maintains good balance and has good hands. His swing is quite good and he works to stay inside the ball. When that strength develops, his ability as a hitter will emerge rather quickly. Defensively his hands and feet give him a chance to be a solid defensive player. Fundamentally Tendler has a good idea of how to play the game. For now his arm works best at the 2nd base spot but as it is with the bat, he needs some more time to gain strength. He should be considered a follow prospect for the D1 level and checked in on from time to time to gauge his progress.
