Tony Smith is a 2021 OF/RHP with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Catonsville, MD who attends Archbishop Curley. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.36 seconds. Hits from slightly open stance, bars into load with hands, gets onto front side through swing, rotational in torso, upper half oriented swing, sprayed contact to all fields, good plate coverage skills. Worked out in the outfield, athleticism to movements, good footwork, gets behind the ball and lines it up, works through the ball, clean fundamentals, clocked up to 76 mph on throws. Also pitched, coiled leg lift into load, throws from three quarters slot, fastball worked 73-75 mph peaking at 77, slurvy breaking ball in the mid-60's. Very good student.
