Nathan Lopez is a 2023 2B/RHP with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Folsom, CA who attends Chaparral. Medium and slender frame with an athletic look and room to bulk. Ran a 7.41 in the sixty yard dash. A primary infielder, moves well laterally and worked through the back hand. Good body control and able to throw on the move. Accurate to the bases. Worked out in the outfield as well, fields to the side with a consistent transfer and on line crow hop with quality release. A right-handed hitter, starts even and in line with the base with a strong forward move. Direct hand path that works the barrel inside for a middle to opposite field approach. A secondary pitcher, higher leg lift followed by a full arm stroke and 3/4 release. The fastball has arm side run and he mixed a good shaped curveball to the glove side. Simple process and pounds the zone. Good student.
