Barrett Knapp is a 2020 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-1 178 lb. frame from Amarillo, TX who attends Tascosa HS. Strong high waisted athletic build with room to get stronger. Long over the top arm action, gets downhill well with his fastball, mostly straight. Has good feel for a big breaking downer curveball, throws strikes with both pitches and challenges hitters, showed the ability to pitch backwards successfully. 7.57 runner, showed good fundamental footwork and actions at first base defensively. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a late leg lift trigger, long and extended swing, looks to pull the ball and turns the barrel well. Excellent student.
