Ryan Woody is a 2022 C/3B with a 5-10 130 lb. frame from Fresno, CA who attends Central High East Campus. Medium frame with a lean build. Frame projects for additional strength while continued physical maturity. Primary catcher with a low, slightly side set stance while receiving the baseball. Gains ground towards the bag while working out of crouch with smooth footwork. Clean glove circle and worked through exchange efficiently. Released from a compact arm slot produced on line carry to the bag at 73 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 2.08. Right handed hitter with an even stance and reaching front side trigger. Displayed some looseness with hands to contact while employing a naturally lifted barrel plane through extension. Flashed beginnings of bat speed through the zone that created some jump off the barrel between the gaps. Very good student as well.
