Kydese Queen Jr. is a 2023 RHP/3B/OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Waldorf, MD who attends St. Charles. Tall athletic build with plenty of room for further physical development and strength. Clean low hand delivery with a 3/4's arm slot, arm is quick and loose coming through with good extension out front, rides his hip well down the mound and gets lower half drive. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, has good command of his fastball for a sophomore and has nice arm side running life. Curveball lacked power but it had some 11/5 depth and was also thrown for strikes. Two-way prospect. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide stance and does a good job of using his lower half in his swing, has leverage and some present strength, good bat speed with a quick and short swing. 7.43 runner, has solid actions in the infield on defense, good footwork through the ball with soft hands, plenty of arm strength across the diamond. Also plays some outfield. Solid all around athlete who should keep improving in all areas. Very good student. Named to the Fall East Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
