Eli Whittington is a 2021 RHP/1B, 3B, OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Collierville, TN who attends Briarcrest Christian. Medium build with room to fill out as he continues to develop. Primary pitcher, has a shorter arm action from a high three-quarters slot. Simple side rock delivery from the windup, finds good extension down the hill. Fastball up to 80 mph, finds good downward angle on the pitch. Locates to all four quadrants well, mixes in an 11-to-5 shaped curveball with good depth. In the infield, fields out in front and rounds the ball well. Funnels the ball in cleanly, stays on to top of his throws across the diamond. Good carry as well. At the plate, uses a slightly open and upright stance with a simple stride trigger. Still understanding his rhythm and timing with the pitcher. Slightly elevated barrel plane, good bat speed, at his best when working through the middle of the field. Excellent student in the classroom as well.
