Maximo Alvira is a 2021 3B/RHP, 2B, OF with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Burlingame, CA who attends Burlingame. Medium slender frame with some length. Plenty of room to fill out in the future. Primary third baseman, has quick feet that move into either hole well. Transfers quickly and finds decent carry across the diamond with his throws. Gets himself online with first base and has a solid all around feel for the position. On the mound has a shorter arm action from a high three-quarters arm slot. Takes a side step with a rock in his motion and uses his lower half well as he pushes down the hill. Works straight down the mound, 76-78 mph fastball possesses some arm side run and sink. Commands the fastball well to both halves of the plate. Did not showcase a breaking ball, 69 mph changeup fades arm side and has some sink. Also has solid feel for the changeup as well. At the plate, uses an open and spread stance. Stays short to and through the ball. Barrel plane works flat through the zone, is at his best when staying inside the ball. Has a tendency to roll his top hand over. Middle to pull side approach.
