Nicholas Bedsole is a 2020 3B/RHP/OF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Shreveport, LA who attends Evangel Christian Academy. Medium athletic build with some developing present strength. 7.34 runner, showed very nice defensive actions both in the infield and outfield. Light on his feet in the infield with good range and a quick release on his throws. Very good athleticism and uses of his lower half well in throwing from the outfield, ball explodes out of his hand with carry and accuracy, big raw arm strength driven by his overall footwork and mechanics. Right handed hitter, rock back load, knees collapse as he starts his swing, lacks leverage or a front side to hit off of, swings hard and handles the barrel well, pull line drive contact, has the strength and twitchiness to improve at the plate with adjustments. Also pitched, quick compact windup, arm works well especially from the windup, will rush from the stretch. Mid-80's fastball topped out at 87 mph, has heavy running life and broke some bats. Developing 11/5 curveball flashed some spin. Good student.
