Eric Contreras is a 2021 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Aurora, IL who attends West Aurora HS. Recorded an 8.02 second 60-yard dash time. Large frame with present physicality and strength on the build. Primary righthanded pitcher with a high effort delivery. Crouched delivery with an over the head hand load during the windup. Upper half dominant release and gets some sink on the fastball up to 78 mph. Low three-quarters arm slot and lands slightly closed. Pitches to contact and lets his defense work and showed both a curveball and changeup. Secondary first baseman with solid arm strength and a long, loose, high three-quarters arm slot. Solid accuracy across. Righthanded hitter with an even stance, leg lift into contact, high hand set, and high back elbow. Flat barrel path and looks to go to all fields on a line. Line drive swing plane. Good student.
