Noah Van Veldhuizen is a 2020 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Oskaloosa, IA who attends Oskaloosa. Has a physical frame with present strength in the lower half. Right-handed pitcher that starts from the windup with a small side step to a belt high leg lift. Stays slightly flexed at gather, going to drop and drive actions down the mound. Creates good linear direction in the lower half, finishing on line at foot strike with good extension over the front side. Has fast-twitch, downhill actions through the entire delivery, showcasing a fast arm from a three-quarter arm slot at release. Creates good downhill plane to the fastball at 84-to-87 miles per hour, and mixes speeds well with a breaking ball that has 10-4 shape and sweeping break in the zone for strikes at 73 miles per hour. Mixes in a changeup that provides a good wrinkle to the arsenal at 77 miles per hour. Excellent student. Named to 2019 PG Midwest Top Prospect Games, Top Prospect List.
