Samuel Skirvin is a 2022 MIF/OF with a 5-8 120 lb. frame from Kinderhook, IL who attends Quincy. Compact build with room to fill out. Ran a 8.06 second sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary infielder. Uses low out front funnels with clean glove actions. Flashed good footwork working to and through the baseball to go along with good range while working to both sides of the infield. Showed clean transfers into throws with developing arm strength and accurate carry across the diamond topping out at 69 mph to first base. Also worked out defensively in the outfield. Displayed confident glove actions while fielding to the side of the baseball. Showed clean footwork while working to and through the baseball creating good momentum into throws with developing arm strength topping out at 71 mph. Right handed hitter. Employs a low slightly open stance. Utilizes a line drive plane with a middle to opposite field line drive ground ball approach. Showed good barrel control finding the right center field gap consistently with solid line drives. Great student.
