Nicolas Von Breeden is a 2020 C with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Manchester, NH who attends Manchester Central. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength to frame. Ran a 7.39 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, begins with a higher set behind the plate in drills, receives the ball out front, gains short ground with lower half and can implement additional footwork, maintains direction, compact arm action with a tight release on throws down to second base. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Moving parts to load and gets weight onto back side, shifts through and stays short to and through the ball with path. Linear swing plane and shows quickness to hands and barrel, strength and carry to pull side, creates torque and shows jump when squared.
