Brant Hunt is a 2020 C/OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Henderson, NV who attends Silverado. Large frame with an athletic build. Projects for additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Ran a 6.86 sixty-yard dash. Primary catcher with a low, balanced stance while receiving the baseball. Receives the baseball with two hands and worked through exchange with deliberate actions. Gained some ground while working to the bag and released from a three-quarters slot. Topped at 75 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 2.02. Also worked out from the outfield showing smooth paced, deliberate footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Funnels off to side and worked through exchange cleanly. Released from a three-quarters slot showing developing accuracy at 80 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a spread, even stance and simple leg lift trigger. Stays on back side and works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose hand path to contact with a level, line drive barrel plane. Primarily worked between the gaps employing a mid-field approach. Very good student as well.
