Jaden Lamothe is a 2021 OF/RHP with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Langley, BC who attends Langley Secondary School. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, present strength and projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.19 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes short steps moving towards the ball and fields out front, can set feet better at release, gets on top of throws well and projects with additional lower half involved in actions, shows accuracy to the bag. Also pitched, short windup with a leg lift up above belt, shows balance over the rubber with some drop and drive with lower half towards the plate. Full arm action through the back, works to a three-quarters release point and stays short at release. Fastball topped out at 75 mph, shows running life and has comfort working to glove side; developing feel for secondaries. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open base and relaxed stance in the box. Quiet upper body mechanics in swing, stays balanced well through swing and stays linear through the zone. Creates bat speed with swing and generates line drive contact off the barrel when squared, shows components to swing that project with added physical strength. Excellent student.
