Jacob Farmer is a 2021 RHP/3B, OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Maineville, OH who attends Little Miami. Large frame with long limbs and a lean build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary right handed pitcher with a smooth paced, high leg lift delivery. Stays balanced at gather and utilized lower half well while working to the plate. Clean arm circle at take back and flashed solid arm speed through extension. Fastball came out of hand cleanly producing some downhill plane with occasional arm side run in the mid to upper 70's, topped at 78 mph. Curveball had 11/5 shape with solid spin and good depth when maintaining arm speed through extension. Also flashed a changeup offering that producing occasional sink to the bottom of the zone in the upper 60's. Looked to challenge hitters with each offering to the bottom quadrants of the zone. Also worked out defensively from the infield showing smooth paced footwork while working to and through the baseball. Developing glove actions at pick up and worked through exchange efficiently. Released from a three-quarters slot creating accurate throws to the bag at 75 mph. Right handed hitter with a crouched, even stance and large leg lift trigger. Loose hand path to contact with a linear barrel plane through extension. Swung with intent showing developing feel for the barrel throughout the zone. Primarily looked to utilize a mid field approach but flashed some jump off the barrel to the opposite field gap. Good student as well.
