Tanner Cardoza is a 2021 C/2B, UT with a 5-10 130 lb. frame from Hanford, CA who attends Hanford. Young, square shouldered build with a lean and projectable build, has room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.53 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, receives the ball out front, gets tall coming out of crouch and can incorporate additional lower half into release, tight arm action on throws down to second base, quickness to arm stroke, arm strength and carry on throws will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box with a taller stance; utilizes a gliding leg lift trigger moving into contact. Long swing path through the zone with a linear plane, shows looseness to hands and swings with intent. Barrel wrap at top of swing, creates occasional extension out front, can implement additional lower half into swing, works the middle of the field. Excellent student.
