Christopher Carillo is a 2007 SS/2B with a 5'9'', 145 lb. frame from Bethel CT, who attends Bethel HS. He has a small frame and lanky features. Carillo ran the 60 in 7.29 and threw 72 mph during infield drills. He has good hands at second base and fields the ball cleanly. Improving the quickness of his release will help on defense. He profiles as a second baseman in the future. Carillo hits with a knee lift trigger and has a short swing path with hands tight to his body. He does a good job of getting to inside pitches and making line drive pull contact and finishes well out front. He gets very little if any help from his lower half in his swing to give him any real power. Carillo is a very good student.
