Connor Edwards is a 2021 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Gurley, AL who attends Madison Co. Small and lean frame with room to fill and time to do so. Ran a 7.73 second 60 yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, simple and easy delivery that he repeats well, developing arm speed with a compact arm action up to a 3/4 arm slot, low effort staying online with a short downhill stride to the plate. Fastball is straight and topped out at 74 mph, mixed in a 1-to-7 curveball with some depth, fills up the strike zone with a two pitch combination. Secondary first baseman, sits back on the baseball fielding out in front with developing hands, shuffles into throws with a clean arm stroke, bounced off of the bag quickly to play the baseball. Lefthanded hitter, takes a small stride forward into swing, short and inside hand path to the baseball, rotational action to swing, could implement a weight shift into swing for additional pop off of the barrel.
