Danny DeVito is a 2008 second baseman/third baseman with a 5'8'', 150 lb. frame from Plainview, New York, who attends Holy Trinity High School. He has a good frame and build for his height with strength. Defensively he has soft hands and moves well in the middle infield. DeVito profiles well at second base with the ability to field all the ground balls and turn the double play with good footwork. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a slightly open stance. DeVito has a short and compact swing, and shows bat speed at times. He stays balanced throughout his swing despite being an aggressive hitter and taking an aggressive swing. He stays short to the ball with a line drive swing plane that should allow him to hit with average in the future. DeVito is a hustle type player that plays hard. He is also a good student.
