Ethan Lizama is a 2021 OF/LHP with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Eastlake. Large build with present physicality and room to still strengthen as he continues to develop, posted a 6.87 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary outfielder, fields off to the side and shows fluidity to the baseball. Carries his momentum to and through the baseball. Strong arm, was gunned at 89 mph in the outfield workout. On the mound, has a shorter arm action from a high three-quarters slot. High leg kick comes up above his belt, heavy turn closed at the top of his lift. Fastball up to 87 mph, good downward angle to the plate on the pitch. Plus 75 mph off-speed pitch that he slightly turns over at the window. Also mixes in a large shaped 12-to-6 curveball that he showcases an ability to manipulate to more of a high 1-to-7 shape. At the plate, uses an upright and conventional stance with a slight pre-pitch rhythmic sway. Great bat speed through the zone, good pop to all fields. Middle of the field approach, excellent student in the classroom as well.
