Emilio Barreras Rojo is a 2022 SS/2B, 3B with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Casa Grande, AZ who attends Vista Grande. Tall and slender build with plenty of room to fill out as he continues to develop, posted a 7.14 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary infielder, shows good flow and fluidity to and through the baseball. Moves well into the hole as well as up the middle. Throws across the diamond have good carry, clear and present athleticism in his actions. At the plate, uses an upright and slightly open stance with a simple stride trigger. Higher handset with a flat barrel plane through the zone, good bat speed, pop will continue to develop alongside his build. Excellent student in the classroom as well.
