CJ Minchin is a 2019 OF/ with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ who attends Northern Highlands Reg H. Primary outfielder with medium frame, solid build and projectable body type, 7.10 runner in the 60. Quick and aggressive movements in the outfield, attacks the ball well playing through it. reads and creates hops to build momentum to throw. Arm strength is good and creates separation to throw, displays carry with on-line accuracy and hard long skips with low lining throws. Hits from an upright and narrow base with an even stance. Lower hand set that strides to create separation and load, strides into rotation with a pull side power approach at the plate. Shows slight lift in the swing through contact and rotational power with solid bat speed. Creates leverage out front and shows good levels of present strength in the hands and wrists. Planed the bat well and created hard line drives through the middle of the field. Good student.
