Connor Casey is a 2019 RHP/1B with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Tulsa, OK who attends Bishop Kelley HS. Lean projectable athletic frame, plenty of room to get stronger. Long and loose arm action, high 3/4's arm slot, repeats his mechanics well. Very steady 76-78 mph fastball, gets nice heavy sinking action on the pitch consistently, works mostly glove side with his fastball. Tends to slow arm on curveball, gets occasional 11/5 depth. Showed a solid change up late in the outing with some fading action, could throw this pitch more. Ground ball pitcher who works quickly and throws strikes. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a limited lower half shift, has some leverage in his swing to the middle of the field. 7.00 runner, played well defensively at first base in the games with good footwork. Good student.
