Michael Trommer is a 2022 SS/RHP with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Trevose, PA who attends Archbishop Wood. Recorded a 7.31 second sixty-yard dash time. Large, well-proportioned frame with present strength and twitch. Primary shortstop with smooth, fluid actions during the fielding process, good lateral range and well-engaged lower half movements into the throwing motion. Exhibits clean funnel out in front, fairly quick transfers and arm strength recorded up to 82 mph across the diamond in drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that works exclusively from the stretch, higher leg lift into balance and good lower half movements down the slope. Pounds the zone from a high three-quarters arm slot, creating plane and ride through the zone for plenty of swing-and-misses. Shows ability to command both sides of the plate, sequencing well and changing eye levels with his fill mix. Fastball sat in the low-80s for the duration of his outing, topping out at 84 mph in this look. Well-tunneled curveball with high 11-5 shape, good spin traits and consistent downer action. Body projects for more velocity as he continues to mature. Switch hitter that hit exclusively from the left side in this look. Hits from a slightly open stance with a higher back elbow and small hover trigger to get back square. Leveraged stroke with good hip torque through contact, consistent bat-to-ball skills and feel for the barrel. Middle-of-the field approach with occasional inside hand path and the ability to turn the barrel on the inner half. Emerging power potential with best impact and carry to the pull-side.
