Taylor Tomlin is a 2023 OF/LHP with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Edmond, OK who attends Deer Creek. Slender young athletic build with lots of room to fill in and get stronger. 7.12 runner, has athletic actions in the outfield and gets good aggressive jumps to the ball, fields the ball out front well with good hands and footwork, exaggerated crow hop can be cut down for a quicker release, makes accurate on line throws with developing arm strength. Right handed hitter, has a big stride into contact and an aggressive lifting swing with some back side collapse, best contact was when he was short and more level to contact with pull side line drive contact, will continue to improve as a hitter with additional strength and consistency. Also pitched, on line delivery with a leg tuck balance over the rubber. Fastball topped out at 75 mph with good cutting action at times. Showed nice depth on a mid-60's curveball that he maintained his arm speed well on. Good athlete who will continue to improve with physical maturity. Very good student.
