McKay Rowand is a 2023 2B/RHP/IF with a 6-0 145 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Bishop Gorman. Slender medium build with room to fill as he progresses. Primary second baseman, meticulous when fielding the baseball. Arm strength across the diamond is still developing. Lacks accuracy from multiple slots. Meticulous with transferring the baseball as well. On the mound, has a longer arm action from a high three-quarters slot. Arm sweeps back into separation, late down the hill as he points to his target with his glove. Fastball sits around 66-68 mph, mixes in a very large shaped 11-to-5 curveball that he's able to drop in for strikes. At the plate, uses a very wide stance with pronated feet much like a sumo stance. Line drive plane with a mid leg kick trigger that uses the middle of the field well. Ability to generate launch angle with consistency.
