Evan Manzo is a 2020 OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Huntington Beach, CA who attends Mater Dei HS. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a high waist, present strength proportioned to frame. Ran a 6.99 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes short and quick steps moving towards the ball, aggressive to the ball, gets tall at release and can continue to incorporate additional lower half, shows quickness to arm stroke and works on top of throws nicely, true carry to the intended base, keeps throws low, made nice diving catch in center field in live action. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Direct to the ball with swing plane and shows quickness to hands. Remains balanced through load and incorporates strength well, shows jump off the barrel when squared, occasionally gets to front side early, leverage out front with nice present carry to the pull side. Good student.
