Lane Goff is a 2022 C/ with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Grand Bay, AL who attends Alma Bryant. Medium and projectable frame with room to fill throughout. Ran a 6.95 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, stays low in his crouch and receives the baseball out in front, mechanically sound with young actions coming out of his crouch, quick transfer that he repeats while releasing the baseball quickly as well, 2.03 second best pop time. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with a spread out stance and a high back elbow, short lower half coil with front leg at load, has some weight shifted into contact but could get more for additional bat speed, rotational actions to stroke with a level line drive swing plane through the hitting zone, works best when hitting the ball out in front and repeating his mechanics.
