Davin Sloan is a 2020 SS/RHP, OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Northport, AL who attends Tuscaloosa Co. Large and athletic frame with present strength especially in his lower half. Ran a 7.44 second 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves to the baseball with athletic movements and playable footwork at gather, fields the ball out in front with strong hands, stays low into funnel carrying weight into his release, online throws across the diamond with average arm strength, topped out at 78 mph from across the diamond. Secondary righthanded pitcher, compact arm action at take back releasing up to a high 3/4 arm slot, stays online to the plate with a deceptive delivery, opens hips up as he drives down the mound, fastball topped out at 77 mph and worked a clean inning. Righthanded hitter, crouched stance at the plate, loads onto back leg and will improve pop off of the barrel with additional weight shifted into contact, torques his hips some to create some bat speed, longer hand path to contact with a middle of the field line drive approach.
