2020 14U Sunshine Gulf Coast Showcase
Kody Clancy is a 2024 C/RHP, 2B, SS, OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Temple, GA who attends South Paulding. Medium frame and build, room to fill, ran a 7.84 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, showed receiving skills, gains ground into throws, low transfer, some carry on ball, around the bag with a 2.02 pop time. Secondary infielder, hands work well, clean transfer while gaining ground into throws, accurate thrower. RHP, starts with small side step into a belt high leg lift, good direction to the plate with drive off the back side down the mound, gets good extension over front side with the ability to repeat, fastball topped out at 77 mph while sitting 73-75 mph, curveball showed tight 11-5 shape from high three-quarters arm slot with depth through the zone, showed ability to field position with athleticism. Righthanded hitter, starts with spread stance, top hand dominate through the hitting zone, could get more out of the lower half, developing mechanics. Named to 2020 14U Sunshine Gulf Coast Showcase Top Prospect list.
