Grey Neal is a 2020 3B/RHP with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Hotchkiss, CO who attends Paonia. Medium with athleticism and strength throughout. Ran a 7.14 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary third baseman. Moves well when working to and through the baseball. High effort releases staying accurate to the bag. Has quickness in hands through exchanges. Still developing arm strength across the diamond at 75 miles per hour. Also worked out as an outfielder. Aggressive close maintaining momentum through field and towards the target. Gets onto the front after smooth exchanges. Slightly uphill into release at 73 miles per hour. Righthanded hitter with an even and slightly crouched stance. Utilizes a toe tap trigger for timing. Long and elevated bat path into contact. Works the middle of the field producing bat speed by incorporating strength into swing. Secondary righthanded pitcher working exclusively from the stretch. Lands in line to the plate staying low through stride. Long action in the back and into a side arm, extended release. Short running life on the fastball in part from the side slot release at 71 miles per hour hour. Stays around the plate and can fill the zone. Occasionally mixes in a slow breaking curveball as well. Very good student as well.
