Kayden Jennings is a 2023 SS/RHP with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Edwardsville, IL who attends Edwardsville. Young and lean frame, projectable with room to fill through. Ran a 7.61 second 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, took reps in the infield fielding the baseball out in front, low effort actions with young footwork, developing hands and arm strength currently with time to improve, topped out at 65 mph across the diamond. Secondary righthanded pitcher, simple side step to high leg lift delivery, stays tall on back side with slight coil over back leg at gather, works to the plate with drop and drive actions, lands slightly closed on front side while striding to the plate, takes arm back to a compact arm circle back at separation and released from a compact three-quarters slot, fastball topped out at 70 mph. Righthanded hitter, sets up with a narrow stance and a high hand set away from his body, bars at load with a short leg lift trigger, compact swing with an inside hand path to the baseball, showed some feel for the barrel especially to his pull side. Outstanding student.
