Kenneth Pan is a 2021 SS/RHP, 3B, MIF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Los Altos, CA who attends Mountain View. Medium frame with a lean build. Primary shortstop with clean footwork while rounding and surrounding the baseball. Funnels out front and worked through exchange with developing fluidity. Released from a higher three-quarters arm slot producing some on line carry to the bag at 67 mph. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly closed stance and simple front side trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Coils hands slightly at load and works to contact on a looser path. Swung with intent on a line drive plane through extension. Primarily looked to drive the ball to the middle of the field and pull side gap. Also pitched utilizing a simple side step to medium leg lift delivery. Created slight coil over back leg at gather and worked to the plate with drop and drive actions. Quick arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Fastball flashed some running action to arm side with occasional tilt, topped at 71 mph. Tends to slow arm speed slightly with a curveball offering that had 10/5 shape with loose spin and occasional depth. Excellent student.
