Devon McKenna is a 2019 RHP/C, 3B with a 5-6 165 lb. frame from Island Park, NY who attends Long Beach Senior. Medium build, stocky with some strength in his lower half, 7.80 runner in the 60. Primary pitcher with a simple and easy effort delivery, short arm circle in the back through a high 3/4 arm slot to release. Uses a higher leg lift and transitions well to throw maintaining solid direction to the plate. Pounds the strike zone with a fastball that sits in the upper 60's, topping at 71 mph. Curveball has a 11/5 shape to it and is thrown for strikes. Hits from an open and upright stance with slight weight shift into contact. Creates slight lift in the bat path and looks to pull the ball creating leverage out front. Plays through the ball well in the IF with a short transition to throw and solid carry across the diamond. Shows solid glove skills and sure movements.
