Nicolas Lorenzo is a 2023 2B/RHP, 3B, SS with a 5-7 165 lb. frame from Maplewood, NJ who attends The Pingry. Medium, athletic build with present strength throughout his frame. 6.88-runner during the sixty. Quick twitch primary middle-infielder with some bounce in his step, clean, fluid actions as he plays through the ball well. Present arm strength, up to 85 mph with his throws. Showcased easy range going to his left and right. Secondary right-handed pitcher, works with a full wind up and belt-high leg lift. Remains on line down the mound with good lower half incorporation. 3/4 arm slot with some whip to his arm action. Fastball worked 81-82 mph, topping out at 83 mph. Flashed some feel for 11-5 shaped breaking ball with depth. Left-handed hitter, sets up with an even, balanced stance with a high-hand set. Rotational lower half with present strength and quickness in his hands. Whole field approach with feel for the barrel. Excellent student. Named to Mid-Atlantic Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
