Niko Tejada is a 2019 C/3B, OF with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Yuba City, CA who attends River Valley HS. Recorded a 7.11 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with present physicality well-proportioned throughout the build. Primary catcher with a wide base and quick transfer to the throwing hand. Has plenty of arm strength recorded up to 80 mph, with a best pop time of 1.91 seconds, and gets rid of the ball very quickly. Arm strength, hands, and athleticism also profiles well at third base. Righthanded hitter with a slightly crouched, open stance. Leg lift trigger into the swing with a direct path to contact. High hand set with a high back elbow and an uphill barrel plane. Swings with intent and looks to elevate. Some pop to the pull side. Good student.
