Matthew Pagan is a 2024 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Boca Raton, FL who attends West Boca Raton. Ran a 7.68 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher with a thin and athletic frame. Works a clean delivery and the ball comes out of the hand really clean from a mid-3/4 slot. Creates some angle on the fastball and sat in the low-80s with it. Showd the ability to miss bats with it elevated, featuring ride. Paired the heater with a curveball that showed healthy 1-7 shape and occasional downer bite. Secondary first baseman and looked the part. Adjusted well and fielded it cleanly. Smoothness to actions with plenty of arm. Left-handed hitter and starts with a wide base, even feet, and a low hand set. Stroke is loose and clean. Got extended well and showed ability to backspin the ball to the pull side gap. Hit really well in-game with lots of hard barrels. Tremendous student. Named to 2021 Miami Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
