Jonah Leland is a 2020 SS/3B, RHP with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Pensacola, FL who attends West Florida of Advanced Technology. Medium frame with a slender build and room to add. Ran a 6.90 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary shortstop. Fields out front with two hands. Quick transfer getting the ball out. Developing arm strength topping out at 78 miles per hour. Switch hitter batting only from the right side. Wide base with a high hand set and toe tap trigger for timing. Slight lift in bat path with short and compact swing. Present bat speed with a line drive and middle of the field approach. Righthanded pitcher with a quick arm action and an over the top release. Hides the ball well. Gets extended out front when coming to the plate. Command of the fastball topping out at 83 miles per hour. Developing feel for the curveball. Easy and repeatable mechanics. Good student as well.
