Eduardo Hernandez is a 2020 C/3B with a 5-8 195 lb. frame from Jersey City, NJ who attends St. Peter's Preparatory. Large and sturdy frame, stocky. Ran an 8.51 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, worked out behind the dish with a higher set, young footwork coming out of his crouch, compact arm action and longer release, clean exchange with development still necessary to overall actions, accurate arm up to 74 mph behind the plate, 1.99 second best pop time. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with a narrow stance and a high hand set, uses a toe tap for timing at the plate, closes off with stride, takes a steep downhill plane to contact, contact worked mostly to the pull side, young strength and will continue to improve pop with adjustments. Good student.
