Joshua Taylor is a 2020 RHP with a 5-11 225 lb. frame from Vidor, TX who attends Vidor HS. Large frame with a thick build and very broad shoulders. Ran an 8.08 second 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher with a short step delivery. Short stride down the mound with an open landing. Hides the ball well and throws a high amount strikes. Only fastball thrower getting some cutting action. Will throw the ball in on the hands of righthanded hitters. Can pitch to contact and get quick outs. Topping out at 75 miles per hour. Also worked out defensively as a first baseman. Deeper funnel up to the body with some stiffness in hands. Compact arm action with developing carry topping out at 74 miles per hour. Lefthanded hitter with an even stance and good balance throughout. Pull side approach with a lifted swing path. Generates some jump off the barrel. Good student as well.
