Lou Martineau is a 2022 OF/2B/SS with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Hillsborough, CA who attends Burlingame HS. Compact frame with a lean build. Frame projects for additional size and strength. Primary outfielder aggressive footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Funnels cleanly and maintained momentum to the bag utilized a crow hop gather. Released from a three-quarters arm slot producing solid carry to the bag at 78 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance and reaching front side trigger. Showed some linear shift into contact with lower half. Loose hand path to contact with a naturally lifted barrel plane. Showed good balance in swing with on time and utilized a mid-field, line drive approach. Flashed the ability to turn barrel head to contact our front and work to pull side with some jump. Excellent student as well.
