Michael Quedens is a 2024 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Stockton, CA who attends St. Mary's. Solid athletic build with some physical strength and plenty of projection ahead. Primary left handed pitcher but has two-way potential with the bat. Has an athletic delivery on the mound with clean mechanics and a high 3/4's arm slot, uses his lower half well coming down the mound, works low in the zone and is most effective working to his arm side, still developing glove side command. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, gets some run down low and some carry up in the zone. Did a good job of throwing his mid-70's slider and showed nice feel for a developing firm change up, lots of starter characteristics moving forward. Left handed hitter, hits from a spread strength stance with a nice lower half shift into contact, looks to pull the ball and has some bat speed, creates lots of back spin and showed his power well. 7.80 runner in the sixty. Plays first base on defense and has nice athletic actions there with good balance, makes accurate throws and can lower his arm slot. Very good student, verbal commitment to San Diego State.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
