Tanner Leonhardt is a 2018 1B/OF/MIF with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Seligman, MO who attends Southwest HS. Large frame with long limbs and wiry strength. Primary first baseman with smooth paced, deliberate footwork while centering the baseball. Funnels the baseball and works through exchange with developing fluidity. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, slightly open stance and high back elbow set. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose, extended hand path to contact with an uphill barrel plane through extension. Consistently looked to connect with baseball out front while utilizing a mid field to pull side approach. Excellent student.
