Sam Delcollo is a 2019 1B/3B, OF with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Chadds Ford, PA who attends Salesianum. Large, broad shouldered build with present physical strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 5.51 40-yard dash. Primary first baseman, shows clean glove work out front fielding the ball, high energy actions working through the ball, effort at release and shows carry to throws, works from a compact arm action through the back. Righthanded hitter, begins with a balanced set up, wide base with a high hand set and back elbow in the box; utilizes a toe tap trigger moving into stride. Loads hands well at start and swings with intent, present bat speed through the zone. Incorporates physical strength well, shows carry off the barrel to both gaps and creates separation, occasionally mistimed but jumped well when squared. Good student. Verbal commitment to St. Peter's.
