Braden Caro is a 2023 2B/UT with a 5-8 130 lb. frame from Dover, NH who attends Brooks. Medium frame with slender, young build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.39 seconds. Hits from spread stance, hands start forward, middle-field approach on flat path through the zone, has contact skills, will improve and drive the ball more impactfully as he physically matures and gains strength. Worked out in the infield, gets to the ball well and shows athleticism and range, hands out front in funnel, stays balanced through gather, multiple slots across the diamond, clocked up to 64 mph. Also pitched, longer arm stroke to high three quarters slot with shorter stride downhill, fastball worked 69-71 mph with 12/6 curveball, did a nice job throwing strikes. Very good student.
