Tyler Solomon is a 2021 LHP/1B with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Clinton Twp, MI who attends De La Salle Collegiate HS. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.38 seconds. Primary lefthanded pitcher, simple side step into delivery with high leg lift, deliberate pace to windup, compact arm stroke up to three quarters slot, arm tends to leak away from body, lands closed off and creates crossfire, fastball worked 73-76 mph with good angle. Showed curveball with short break as well as solid changeup. Hits from even-based stance, big stride into contact, drifts onto front side, shows looseness to hands with compact path, inside-out hands, opposite-field contact. Worked out at 1st base, fields out front well with clean hands, comes through the ball well, arm works well with good accuracy on throws, clocked up to 76 mph. Very good student.
