Kyle Platt is a 2020 SS/2B, OF with a 5-9 142 lb. frame from Bethel, CT who attends Bethel. Medium build with square shoulders, young frame with plenty of growing still to do and time to fill out physically. Ran a 5.04 second 40 yard dash. Primary shortstop, good body control and range, quickness to feet with long strides to the backhand, fields out in front, quick transfer from glove to hand, releases vary deepening on which side of body the ball is fielded by, quick release to backhand, slower release to glove side, average arm strength topping out at 75 mph across the diamond that should increase as he matures. Righthanded hitter, slightly open stance, high hand set with a high back elbow, tendency to reach in path for ball, best when letting ball travel, strength to hands, one handed finish early in round and two handed finish later that was much smoother and more balanced, needs to get stronger for added bat speed and more pop off of the barrel.
