Gavin Bond is a 2019 C/RHP/IF with a 5-8 180 lb. frame from Sikeston, MO who attends Central HS. Compact and strong build. Right handed hitter, spread closed stance to start with a toe tap trigger, rotational swing with an uphill barrel plane, tends to cut off his swing out front and is looking to pull the ball, likes the ball up in the zone, has the strength to continue to improved as a hitter. Very compact arm action on defense, makes soft accurate throws with developing arm strength, low exchange creates some length to his actions, also worked out in the infield. Took a turn on the mound with a turn and throw delivery, high leg lift start. Threw lots of strikes with a fastball/curveball combination, fastball topped out at 77 mph, curveball had good spin and downer depth with good feel for the location.
