Adwin Acosta is a 2020 3B/ with a 5-7 190 lb. frame from Corona, Queens, NY who attends Long Island City. Extra large build with broad shoulders. Ran a 5.73 second 40 yard dash. Primary third baseman, moves to the ball with short steps, developing hands, should work on breaking down more into throws, longer strides to slow roller, over the top arm action into throws, developing arm strength at this time. Righthanded hitter, open stance getting closed with leg lift trigger, could get more from lower half for added bat speed and pop off of the barrel, grooved swing, hands tend to get going late, should work on starting load earlier for more on time contact, inside hand path looking to strike the ball to the opposite field.
